Last chance to declare for General Election
Wed, 24 Aug 2016
Prospective candidates standing in next month's General Election must declare by 1pm today.
It's Nomination Day on the Isle of Man - the last day in which a person can put themselves forward for election to the House of Keys.
The General Election will take place on September 22nd - it's the first election after the boundary changes.
Each of the 12 constituencies will elect two MHKs instead of the previous system which saw a mix of one, two and three representatives.
More than 50 candidates have declared already.
