MLC's shouldn't get Chief vote says Lord

MLCs should not be allowed to be government ministers or cast a vote during the election of the Chief Minister.
That's according to the man charged with reviewing the functioning of Tynwald - a
400 plus page report, which contains 11 recommendations, will go before the court next week.
Lord Robert Lisvane says it's his view that sitting MHKs should not be eligible for nomination to the Legislative Council either.
The Lord, who heard from a number of witnesses as he collated the evidence for his report, says he believes the diversity of LegCo needs to improve:
