The area plan for the east of the Island 'remains a top priority' for government.
In the House of Keys yesterday the Policy and Reform Minister was asked to provide an update regarding the Eastern Area Plan.
Permission to progress it was granted in March - John Shimmin said "'preparations are continuing as planned" and the next stage will be a call for sites.
Area plans contain localised proposals and in conjunction with strategic plans set out a long term vision for the development of the whole Island.
Mr Shimmin told politicians he couldn't provide a date for the publication of the draft plan but the process would begin ahead of the parliamentary recess in July.
