A shoplifter who stole alcohol from the same shop twice in the same day will be sentenced next month.
46-year-old Christine Metaxas appeared at Douglas Courthouse earlier this week where she admitted three counts of theft.
On April 8th she entered Ramsey Co-op just after 6pm and proceeded to steal two bottles of white wine - she was spotted by a customer who reported it to the manager who called the police.
Nine days later, on April 17th, she went back to the shop at 11am where she stole a bottle of vodka; she returned two hours later and repeated the action.
On each occasion officers recovered the items at her home address - her advocate told the court they had been 'impulses' saying she'd 'fallen off the wagon'.
Social enquiry reports have been requested before Metaxas is sentenced on May 24th - she's been bailed until then.
