Elderly 'bed blockers' causing delays at hospital

Work is being done to try and increase the number of nursing home beds around the Island - in a bid to reduce hospital waiting times.
That's according to the Department of Health and Social Care after coming under criticism over the time patients have to wait at Accident and Emergency.
Onchan MHK Peter Karran claimed 'bed blockers' elsewhere in the hospital were causing the issue.
It follows the news that waiting times have increased by one hour and 30 minutes since 2013 - Minister Howard Quayle says there is an issue, but it is being tackled:
