St Johns man now facing five rape charges

Further charges have been brought against a St Johns man accused of rape.

45-year-old William Kelly appeared at Douglas Courthouse yesterday charged with a number of serious sexual offences.

He's been accused of five counts of rape, two of assault causing actual bodily harm and three of indecent assault.

In addition he's been charged with common assault and conduct amounting to harassment - all of the charges date between July 2014 and March this year.

An application for bail was refused and he was remanded at the Isle of Man Prison until his next appearance on May 10th.
