A young lawyer has been spending his spare time campaigning to make the Island a healthier place.
Andrew Newton has been presenting his case about the Island's obesity crisis and writing draft legislation for Treasury to put a tax on sugary treats.
He believes his work will help reduce residents' consumption of sugary drinks and as a result improve the population's health and well-being.
Andrew will be doing a presentation called 'Ending Childhood Obesity' at the Noble's Park Pavilion in Noble's Park on April 7 from 7pm.
He says reducing the Island's sugar consumption can only have positive outcomes:
