Ayre Clay Target Club hosted competitions in two disciplines in perfect conditions at Blue Point on Sunday. 

 

First were the Jewson’s sponsored DTL 50 target league competition and the 100 target selection shoot..  Neil Parsons was the winner of the league shoot scoring 48/142.  Paul Mihailovits and Mark Riley were joint second on 48/139.  Riley went on to win the selection shoot with 97/281 from Mike Walker on 92/269 and Nigel Moffatt in third on 91/259.

 

Results 50 target DTL league:

A Class: 1, Neil Parsons 142; 2=, Paul Mihailovits and Mark Riley 139.

B Class: 1, Ben Richards 127; 2, Bob Corlett 123; 3, Corina Clague 118.

C Class: 1, Jordan Dougherty 111; Brian Mylrea 102; 3, Alex Egan 75.

 

The afternoon competitions were 50 and 100 target English Skeet league shoots.  Steve Brew was the winner of the 50 target shoot, hitting them all to score 50.  There was a three way tie for second between Kevin Oates, Jack Kneen and Paul Mihailovits on 49.  The 100 target competition was won by Jack Kneen with a personal best of 99/100.  Mihailovits was second on 98 with Oates and Neil Parsons taking joint third place on 97.

 

Results 50 target English Skeet league:

A Class: 1, Steve Brew 50; 2= Paul Mihailovits, Kevin Oates and Jack Kneen 49.

B Class: 1, Jake Brew 45; 2, Bob Corlett 44; 3, Ted Kermeen 40.

C Class: 1, Ted Davis 40; 2, Alex Egan 26.

 

Big well done to all the junior shooters competing this week, you’re all shooting really well:

This weekend at Blue Point there are Double Trap shoots on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning and a Sportrap competition on Sunday morning, kindly sponsored by Harding Lewis Limited.
