Treasury has admitted it has no idea how much money has been saved by carrying out assessments on people who claim incapacity benefits.
Minister Eddie Teare made the revelation in the House of Keys earlier this week when asked if there had been any cost saving since Dependability Limited was appointed.
He also admitted he didn't know how many claimants had actually returned to work after assessment as they have no obligation to tell Treasury if they are no longer claiming help.
It led to a number of politicians - including MHKs Chris Thomas and Kate Beecroft - querying why there were no figures available:
