A Port Erin woman has admitted trying to smuggle over £8,500 of heroin into the Isle of Man.
33-year-old Louise Creer pleaded guilty to production of the Class A substance, and possession of it with intent to supply, at Douglas Courthouse yesterday.
She was arrested at the Sea Terminal on February 10th after police suspected she was concealing the drug internally.
Committal proceedings took place during the court hearing - Creer will be sentenced at the Court of General Gaol Delivery.
There was no application for bail and she was further remanded at the Isle of Man Prison until her next court appearance on March 21st.
