New tourism plans embrace family market

More focus will be put on growing a sector of the tourism industry which the Isle of Man has previously "turned its back on".
The new Destination Management Plan highlights opportunities to expand the family market - Robin Bischert is the director of tourism and the visitor economy - he says the sector is seeing growth, with around 35 per cent of British holiday makers staying in the UK.
The four-year plan has been unveiled to the industry - Robin says it contains a "bold" set of aims and objectives which can only be achieved through joint working.
He says financial support is available to those who are keen to improve the island's offering:
