It's "shameful" that Tesco's dominance on the Island means so many people choose to shop there.
That's the message from the Environment, Food and Agriculture Minister who says more work needs to be done to encourage people to buy local.
Concerns have been raised that 70 per cent of meat on the Island is being imported - potentially putting butchers at risk.
The retail giant stopped stocking Manx meat in 2012 citing concerns about auditing and packaging standards - Richard Ronan says efforts are underway to get it back on the shelves:
