Incapacity assessors have got the required skills to assess benefit claimants with drug or alcohol issues.
That's according to the Treasury Minister Eddie Teare - last week his department defended the assessment process after it once again came under fire from critics.
Last year Dependability Limited carried out 712 checks on claimants - 314 people were deemed capable of work; 40 per cent of those are no longer receiving any benefits.
