Snakes rescued after fire breaks out

Two snakes were rescued from a house in Onchan yesterday after a fire broke out.

Firefighters were called to the property in Ashley Park just after 3.30pm to reports of thick black smoke coming out the windows. 

The fire had started in the kitchen - it's believed it was caused by an electrical fault with the fridge.
