Financial regulation heads receive MBEs

Ex-heads of insurance and pensions and financial supervision will soon become Members of the Order of the British Empire.

The Queen has sanctioned MBEs to John Aspden and David Vick - who led the departments before a merger into the Financial Services Authority.

Mr Aspden worked as the chief executive of the FSC for 18 years - David says it's an honour to receive the award alongside him.

He adds that it doesn't just reflect well on his own achievements:
