Security fencing has been erected around the Old Laxey Bridge after reports people are ignoring three sets of safety barriers.
They've been put in place after part of the structure was washed away during the flooding last week - which caused a double-decker bus to fall into the river and become trapped.
Work has been underway with utility providers to ensure telephone lines and cabling were maintained and rerouted.
The bridge is set to be demolished, and the bus removed later this week - a temporary pedestrian footbridge has been created over the river whilst plans are drawn up for a permenant replacement.
