Donovan Kitching case spotlighted in parole inquiry

The decision to release a prisoner on parole - who went on to cause the death of a holidaymaker - is being put under the spotlight this month.

An independent inquiry will look at the practice and procedures of the parole system following Tynwald approval in July.

Donovan Kitching was let out of jail early last year - three weeks later his dangerous driving killed 62-year-old Gwen Valentine on the Tholt-y-Will.
