An appeal to overturn the sentence handed to a Sulby woman who killed a cyclist last year has been thrown out.
The Attorney General's Chambers had argued that the punishment given to 63-year-old Linda Thompson was "unduly lenient".
In July she was handed an 18-month suspended sentence - nine months were for causing the death of 41-year-old Kathryn Burge by careless driving.
At Douglas Courthouse yesterday Judge of Appeal Deemster Tattersall dismissed the appeal meaning the sentence remains.
