Freshwater anglers face price hike
Fri, 06 Nov 2015
Freshwater fishing licences could become more expensive - so that investment can be made in the Island's reservoirs.
The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture is asking Tynwald to approve a one per cent season-long increase, and a two per cent rise in day and week licences.
Proceeds will be spent on improving facilities, maintaining habitats and deterring poachers.
It's the first price rise since 2013 - if successful prices will change in March.
