Mixed reaction to new plans to catch speeding drivers

Plans to create a local 'Big Brother' ring to turn in speeding motorists are receiving mixed reviews from the public.

Community Speed Watch is an Isle of Man Constabulary initiative.

Officers are looking at training residents to use laser guns, record passing vehicles and pass the information to them.

Details of the upcoming scheme have been made public in this month's Car and Driver publication.
