Her Majesty The Queen received a letter from Tynwald this week congratulating her on becoming the longest serving Lord of Mann.
Her Majesty overtook the previous record set by Queen Victoria of 63 years and 7 months.
She was proclaimed Lord of Mann at a special Tynwald sitting in 1952, following the death of her father King George VI.
Tynwald's Madam President penned the letter, in it she said 'please be assured of the deep affection and respect for you on our Island.
Throughout her reign Her Majesty has presided over two Tynwald Day ceremonies, in 1979 and 2003.
