Major works to the Heritage Trail have begun between Union Mills and the Access Road.
The trail clean-up contract was awarded by Braddan Commissioners to Landscape Design and Management Ltd.
With the aim of improving access for cyclists and walkers - new gates and barriers have been installed, the path has been resurfaced, vegetation has been cut back and drainage improved.
The departments of Infrastructure and Economic Development and the Manx Wildlife Trust will work on new information boards for the public.
Restoration works are now expected be made to the railway crane at Union Mills.
