Teenagers who've given up their free time to help coach other young people on the Island have been commended.
34 students, aged between 15 and 18, have completed the Sure Sports Leaders' Programme which is run by the Department of Education and Children.
Over nine months they carried out 1670 hours of coaching at places like schools, community groups and local sports clubs.
Alex Jackson, who attends St Ninian's High School, completed 189 hours overall and was named Sports Leader of the Year - he says he got a lot from it:
