Education is helping to rehabilitate the Island's prisoners.
That's according to Home Affairs Minister Juan Watterson, who says between 45 and 50 per cent of inmates are engaging in lessons to grow their skills.
Offenders are assessed after two weeks of entering the system to match them with 'suitable opportunities' for personal development.
The aim is to reduce the 'social and economic cost' associated with re-offending.
