Plans to introduce new controlled crossings on Douglas Promenade will be integral in ensuring the Isle of Man is seen as an inclusive society.
That's the message from the chairman of the Douglas Regeneration Committee who says he welcomes government's "change of heart".
13 puffin and zebra crossings will now be installed after the Department of Infrastructure met with those concerned.
