A Douglas man who flipped his car onto its roof after losing control on the Mountain Road has been fined £350.
26-year-old Jamie Corrin appeared at Douglas Courthouse last week where he pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention.
He crashed at Brandywell on May 3rd - the roads were wet at the time and visibility was poor due to thick fog.
His advocate said it was a case of a "young inexperienced driver who lost control in bad conditions".
Sentencing him Deputy High Bailiff Jayne Hughes told him "you underestimated the circumstances and perhaps overestimated your experience".
She also ordered him to pay prosecution costs of £50, endorsed his license with six penalty points and extended his R-plates for an extra four months.
