Firefighters attend grill pan fire

Firefighters were called to a house in Douglas last night after a grill pan caught fire.

They attended Hillside Avenue just after 9pm - the occupant had raised the alarm when the smoke detector went off.

The Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Service said luckily there was only minor damage to the cooker however "tea was ruined".
