Chinese classroom opened at Douglas high school

Students at a Douglas high school are being offered the opportunity to study the language and culture of China.
A Confucius Classroom has been opened at Ballakermeen as ties between the Island and China continue to strengthen.
Mandarin lessons for the business community and courses for students across the Island's schools will be offered.
Deputy headteacher Keith James explains how local links with a top Chinese school helped to land the coveted scheme:
