A 24-year-old man who's been convicted of causing serious bodily harm to another road user will be sentenced next month.
Christopher Wells, from Andreas, appeared at Douglas Courthouse earlier this week where a date for sentencing was set for June 5th.
In March he pleaded guilty to one charge of driving without due care and consideration - he lost control on the Mountain Mile on October 11th last year.
Wells, who was travelling at speed, from Ramsey to Douglas crossed the carriageway and collided with another car travelling in the opposite direction.
The female passenger in that car had to have emergency surgery for serious internal injuries.
Social enquiry reports have now been requested - Wells has been bailed until his next court appearance.
