Ayre Clay Target Club had a very busy Easter weekend of shooting.
Saturday afternoon was a Universal Trench Selection Shoot, kindly sponsored by Top Spec Fencing. Neil Parsons won with 92. Second was Phil Ward who finished with a 25 straight to score 91 with David Walton in third with 86.
Sunday was another Universal Trench Selection Shoot. Ward again shot 91 finishing with 25 straight, which was enough to take the win. Mark Riley was second on 87 with Neil Parsons third on 86.
Easter Monday saw the annual contest for the Sporting Handicap trophy, kindly sponsored by Farmers Combine of Ramsey. Phil Butler was the winner with 40+10 for a total of 50. Jack Kneen and Fred Waggett tied for second; Jack shooting 42+7 for 49, as Fred shot 37+12 for 49.
Many thanks to all who helped set up a very enjoyable shoot and extra thanks to Helen for the tasty soup and hot dogs.
This week is a 100 target Sporting Selection shoot. There will be a work party on Saturday from 1pm. Please try to attend
