A Castletown man who is standing trial for murder was arrested for provoking behaviour four months before it’s alleged he killed a gardener.
46-year-old Ian Anderson was detained by police after being found at Neil Robert’s home in Ballabeg in July 2013.
His wife, Alison, was having an affair with the 60-year-old - his body was found at the couple’s home on Queen Street in the early hours of December 1st.
Today the jury was told police found Mrs Anderson on the floor in Castletown Square on the evening of July 13th – the day of the tin bath races – which she'd been watching with her husband.
Officers took her to Mr Robert’s address – Anderson later turned up, the police were called and he was arrested.
At a following court appearance he accepted a binding over order which required him to keep the peace for 12 months.
The jury was also told police were called to 40 Queen Street on July 23rd – in this instance Mrs Anderson was taken away from the property to Mr Roberts.
Ian Anderson denies murder – the trial continues.
