Older people need more alcohol support - because the "public health message isn't getting across".
That was the warning from the Island's chief constable in his report to the Licensing Court yesterday.
The latest figures show that two-thirds of people arrested over the age of 62 were under the influence of alcohol.
They replicate the findings of the strategic needs assessment - which found 'dangerous levels of abuse, especially in middle-aged and older men.
