Police have now released information about this evening's incident at Douglas Head Road. (Friday 16th January)
They were first called to what they describe as a ‘domestic incident’ at property where initial reports suggested a weapon was present, although they wont say what type it was.
A negotiator was sent in and after a number of hours a man was arrested.
Inspector Dave Dobbie told our Reporter that nobody had sustained any injuries during the incident.
Head Road was closed off as a precautionary measure in case the incident moved out to the street.
Witnesses saw the MSPCA take charge of a number of dogs. Police confirmed that they were removed from the property and will be looked after for the time being.
