New programme will nurture Island's sports coaches

Island sports coaches will be nurtured in a bid to improve athletes performances.

A new initiative - the sports coach development programme - has been set up to run alongside the appointment of the Island's first sports coaching coordinator.

Trevor Christian will take on the role - he believes the impact of the new programme could be massive.

He says it's all geared towards the production of more Manx sports stars competing on the international stage:
