Fire Service attend two-vehicle RTC in Ballasalla

Firefighters attended a two-vehicle road traffic collision this morning.

Crews from Castletown, Port Erin and Douglas received the call out at around 8am to the scene of an incident on Douglas Road in Ballasalla.

On arrival they found a small van and a heavy goods vehicle had crashed - with the occupant of the HGV having sustained injuries.

Once the person had been removed to an ambulance the crews remained on scene to make the vehicles safe.
