Plans for new emergency radio system delayed

Emergency services will have to wait until next month to find out if they will get a new communications system.
The Department of Home Affairs asked Tynwald to approve £5 million to replace the current TETRA system.
However it wasn't an idea that found favour with some politicians - the proposal has now been adjourned for further discussion at November's sitting of Tynwald.
Onchan MHK Zac Hall is against spending the money saying we should be looking at the UK's plans:
