Tesco shoppers asked to 'help the needy'
Fri, 04 Jul 2014
Tesco shoppers are being encouraged to buy something extra in this week's shop to help needy people on the Island.
The Douglas store is taking part in the UK wide neighbourhood food collection in a bid to collect a total of five million meals.
Shoppers are asked to pick up an extra item of food such as long life milk, cereal, tinned foods or tea and coffee and donate it at the end of their shop.
The goods will then be distributed to people in times of crisis across the Island - the last day for donations is tomorrow
