Ferries to be taken out of service for repairs
Thu, 12 Jun 2014
Mannanan will be taken out of service next Tuesday for repairs to be made following damage caused during TT week.
The fast craft is operating on reduced power after ingesting discarded fishing gear which damaged a shaft bearing one of the four engines.
She'll only be out of action for a day - but on Wednesday the Ben-my-Chree will then go into dry dock to have work done to fix a stabilising fin, damaged during the heavy weather earlier in the year.
Both vessels will be back operating by the end of next week in time for the busy summer season.
