MHK says 'toilet tax' penalties are debatable

Questions over what will happen if people don’t pay the new ‘toilet tax’ has been raised by MHKs.
In the House of Keys yesterday the chairman of the Water and Sewerage Authority came under the spotlight.
The £50 sewerage charge, which applies to anyone connected to the public sewer system, will be introduced on April 1st.
However, South Douglas MHK Kate Beecroft says the legal process of collecting the charge is blurred from local authorities perspectives:
