Forecaster shocked at strength of storm

There’s good news on the weather front – the heavy winds which have been battering the Island have somewhat blown out.
Yesterday the Island was on a ‘red warning’ with winds of up to 80-miles-per-hour recorded in some areas.
It caused major travel disruption with sailings cancelled and flights in and out of Ronaldsway severely delayed or cancelled.
The storm has also affected much of the UK.
Met Office forecaster Neil Young says it’s the worst he’s seen for a long time:
