Cash stolen in pub burglary

Police are asking the public for information after a large amount of money was stolen during a burglary at a Douglas pub.

Hundreds of pounds in cash was taken from the Prospect public house sometime overnight. (23^rd December)

Officers want to hear from anyone who may know somebody who’s come into possession of a large amount of unexplained cash.

People who saw or heard anything suspicious in the Prospect Hill area are also asked to come forward.

It’s being emphasized that this sort of crime is rare on the island and residents shouldn’t be unduly concerned about the safety of their own properties.
