Hospital services returning to normal following serious crash
Sat, 05 Oct 2013
Services at Noble's Hospital have now returned to normal after the accident and emergency department saw its resources stretched following a serious crash.
A bus carrying a number of passengers was in collision with a car at Ballakaighan Corner in Castletown.
There were numerous casualties - their injuries ranging from serious to walking wounded.
Members of the public were asked to avoid the hospital while the injured were treated.
Although normal services have now resumed, waiting times at A&E are currently longer than normal.
The Department of Health says the GP out-of-hours service MEDS is also available and can be contacted by ringing a GP surgery and listening to the recorded message. For life threatening emergencies, people are advised to dial 999.
The Department says it's grateful to the public for their understanding and patience.
