Fears for missing fishermen

A major search is underway for two local anglers who have vanished following a fishing trip in the north of the Island.
A flat-bottomed dinghy believed to belong to the men has been found upturned out at sea, but rescuers have found no sign of its occupants.
They pair were fishing off Blue Point yesterday lunchtime and were reported missing in the early hours of this morning after they failed to return home.
Lifeboats from Peel and Ramsey have assisted in the search, with air support coming from RAF Valley and the Maritime and Coastguard Agency.
The missing men are both in their late 60s; one was last seen wearing blue jeans and a polo top. He has glasses and thinning grey hair.
The second man also has grey receding hair is believed to be wearing black pants, black wellies and possibly a grey flotation suit.
Police are appealing to local fishermen and members of the public out on pleasure craft or using the beaches in the area to be vigilant and report any concerns or potential sightings to Liverpool Coastguard who are co-ordinating resources on Telephone
