Health complaints rising
Thu, 20 Jun 2013
Complaints against the Department of Health are rising.
Figures released this week show that there were 228 made from April 2012 to March this year.
That’s up from 203 the previous year.
Three main reasons for complaints were clinical treatment, attitude of staff and appointments, cancellations and delays.
11 of the complaints were referred to the Independent Review Body where four were upheld, five were dismissed and two are still pending.
