Fire crews stood down after call out to airport
Mon, 15 Apr 2013
Fire crews were called to Ronaldsway Airport yesterday after a full 'emergency warning' was raised.
At around 17.50 crews from Douglas, Castletown and Port Erin were dispatched to the scene.
The issue lay with a British Airways SAAB 9000 aircraft, with a technical issue on its start up.
Luckily the captain was able to successfully shut down the aircraft while the fire crews remained at the scene.
