A number of MHKs have welcomed the news that a vote on introducing tuition fees will not be taken in Tynwald today.
Politicians were due to vote on the Department of Education and Children’s proposals at this month’s sitting.
However last week it was announced that this has now been deferred until January.
Howard Quayle, Richard Ronan, Laurence Skelly and Leonard Singer all raised concerns to the Education Minister and the Chief and Treasury Ministers.
They say they’re looking forward to the extra time they now have where they can pro-actively engage with the department to consider the new proposals.
