Fireworks will go on sale around the Island today ahead of Bonfire Night.
The key message as always is to “be safe not sorry and always follow the code”.
Fireworks are explosives and burn at high temperatures so they need careful handling and storage.
No one under 18 can buy fireworks although in previous years UK statistics show that over half of people suffering injuries are under the legal buying age.
