It’s that time of year again when doctors are urging those who need it to get vaccinated against flu.
Those targeted are traditionally the over-65s and individuals who suffer from other medical issues.
Last year’s winter vaccine offered up to 80 per cent protection against catching the virus and resulted in reduced numbers of hospital admissions and death rates.
Between now and November are the best times to receive the jab.
