Thousands of police officers will line the streets of Manchester today to mark the funeral of former Islander, PC Fiona Bone.
She was killed alongside colleague Nicola Hughes in a gun and grenade attack a fortnight ago while on duty in Hattersley.
The gathered officers will stand shoulder to shoulder around Deansgate whilst Fiona’s funeral procession passes through en route to the cathedral.
There'll be a strong Manx contingent present, given her family and friendship ties to the Island, with Island police officers in attendance as well as a representative from the Department of Education and Children.
Audio from the service will be broadcast to the gathered public in the cathedral gardens.
