Tesco face another hurdle in their battle for an alcohol licence after it was decided the matter must go to a hearing.
The retailer was in court this morning aiming to gain permission to sell alcohol from a proposed new Express store in Castletown.
It’s the second time this year that the matter has been discussed –with the previous application being declined in April.
Tesco’s advocate urged the Licensing Court to grant an early hearing date as the matter was in everyone’s interest to resolve “once and for all”.
The hearing has been set for October 15th.
